While nothing is official yet, it’s definitely a fight we would tune in for. The two men previously met in August 2023 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. On that occasion, it would be former Disney star Jake Paul who would walk away victorious, winning the fight convincingly (98-91, 98-91, 97-92).
The fight reportedly did 450,000 PPV buys and generates $3.1 million at the live gate.
Nate Diaz to replace Tank Davis?
Jake Paul’s original opponent on November 14 was supposed to be WBA lightweight champion Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, but the fight was canceled earlier this week. The decision to cancel the fight was heavily influenced after a court case was filed against Tank by his ex-girlfriend, citing battery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, kidnapping and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Davis has been accused of such things and Paul’s ‘Most Valuable Promotions’ clearly want to distance themselves from Davis, and understandably so.
Several names were thrown into the hat to face Paul, but it looks like it will be Nate Diaz who will step in to clash once The problem child. The names of former UFC heavyweight champions Junior dos Santos and Francis Ngannou have been considered, but it appears Paul fans will be making the walk with a much more familiar face.
Diaz was rumored to get his rematch with Paul in the octagon under PFL MMA rules, but as we know, that fell through.
Since their first fight, Paul has had five ‘boxing matches’, finishing three times. He has victories against Mike Perry, Mike Tyson and most recently Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Diaz has only competed in the ring once, a unanimous decision victory against former MMA foe Jorge Masvidal last July.
