Prior to this appointment, Newton’s President of Legal Affairs and the head of lawsuits was a global luxury conglomerate. In this role she sent the legal strategy for more than 30 brands and dealt with different issues, including those with the real estate possession of the conglomerate.

Newton’s legal background includes enormous experience in advising parties on civil disputes, risk reduction and corporate governance.
She is also the founder and president of a non -profit organization for youth empowerment called the The RAN FundGiving her experience with dealing with the legal, operational and management issues in a non -profit as a nar.
“Andowah brings a valuable combination of process experience, financial insight and strategic judgment,” said Jon Waclawski, General Counsel of Nar and Senior Vice President of Legal, into a statement. “Her experience in managing complex legal affairs, in combination with its hands-on understanding of non-profit compliance and governance, makes her exceptionally well suited to guide the process strategy of NAR in this evolving landscape.”
Newton will start her new role later this month on 25 August. Her appointment comes five months after Nar Waclawski has appointed to replace the old general lawyer Katie Johnson, whose term of office ended in October 2024.
