The fastest train in India: The Namo Bharat train has become the fast-streaming train in India and surpasses trains such as Vande Bharat and Gatiman Express. Namo Bharat worked at the highest speed of 160 km / h on the part of 55 km from the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) of Delhi-Meerut (RRTs).

Namo Bharat train runs between the new Ashok Nagar in Oost -Delhi and Meerut South in Uttar Pradesh for about 55 km. It works with a frequency of 15 minutes from each station and touches its maximum 160 km / h for a few seconds between some of the 11 stations on the route. There are 30 train sets from Namo Bharat, each with 6 cars.
Gatiman Express
Gatiman Express was launched in 2016 and was the first Semi-High Speed train in the country, which used to be 160 km / h between Hazarat Nizamuddin and Agra run on the specially laid traces. Later, when the Semi-High Speed train series Vande Bharat was introduced, it also worked at the same maximum speed, but only on this route.
In June 2024, however, the Railway Minister decided to lower their speed from 160 to 130 km / h without specifying reasons. All trains are currently working in the Indian rail network with the upper speed limit of 130 km / h.

Namo Bharat Corridor
Namo Bharat Corridor is the first semi-high-speed corridor of India. The entire 82.15 km long corridor with 16 stations, starting from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Modipuram in Uttar Pradesh, will probably be put into use soon. The design speed is 180 km / h and the operational speed is 160 km / h. The 55 km from the corridor is operational and the remaining 27 km almost completed. The distance between stations is on average 6-7 km, making the average speed approximately 85 km / h.
NCRTC, a joint venture of the Indian government (50 percent) and the state governments of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan (12.5 percent each) implement the first regional fast transits system of the country.
