A woman, together with her loved one, killed her paralyzed husband, who, according to her, hinded their illegitimate affair. The duo has been arrested.
The victim, 38-year-old Chandrasen Balkrishna Ramteke, lived with his family when he suffered a paralyzed stroke about 18 months ago. Since then he has stayed at home while his wife, Disha Chandrasen Ramteke, started a water plant company to lead the household.
During this period Disha came into contact with a local mechanic, Asif Ansari aka Raja Babu Tyrewala. The two developed an illegal relationship. Over time, Chandrasen began to become suspicious about the changing behavior of his wife, which led to frequent arguments at home. Frustrated because of this, Disha and her loved one coincided to kill him.
In the afternoon of July 4, while Chandrasen slept at home, Disha and Asif reportedly choked him with the help of a pillow and pressed it against his face and neck until he died.
After committing the murder, Disha left the house and returned two hours later. She then took her husband to a government hospital with the help of neighbors and claimed it as a natural death.
Initially, the police registered the case as a casual death. The Post-Mortem report, however, revealed the real cause and discovered the murder plot.
“There were several points of injuries on the body of the victim for his neck,” said Rashmita Rao, deputy police commissioner.
An autopsy report confirmed that Chandrasen Ramteke was stifled with death with the help of a pillow. After the report, the police booked the accused among relevant parts of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and arrested both Disha and her beloved, Asif Ansari.
