Over the years I have been using hard, conventional skin care products to rubbing mud and avocado on my face! My current skin care routine is slightly more in the middle of those two extremes. Although I still love a good food mask, there are now a number of really good pre -made skin care options!
I still have high standards and don’t want something on my skin going on with sketchy ingredients. By trial and error I have found some skin care brands with clean ingredients that also perform well.
Here are some of my favorite skin care brands that I use and recommend! The mothers behind the Wellness Mama team also use many of these products and they also meet their approval.
Display
I had co-founder of Oneskin Alessandra on the podcast and I have since been intrigued by their products. Although I love good skin care, there are some products that you simply cannot replicate at home. Oneskin is unique because of their patented OS-01 peptide that you will not find anywhere else. From OS-01 it has been scientifically proven that it reverses the biological age of the skin on a cellular level.
This means healthier skin with fewer lines, wrinkles and sagging. I have noticed that my skin feels firmer and supported when I use their products. I am not a fan of using SPF every day and I prefer to use other methods for safe sun exposure. So I don’t use Oneskin’s sunscreen every day. However, I think it is great that all their products are unscented.

Prep Facial Cleanser
This facial cleanser helps to exfoliate dead skin cells and soothes even sensitive skin. Unlike many other facial coils on the market, however, it has several very effective botanical ingredients. You will find things like spiky pear, Arnica and Japanese Honeysuckle. I also like that it works well with all the skin types, from teenacne, to dry menopausal skin and not drying or hard.
OS-01 Face Lotion
As we get older, our skin becomes thinner, more damaged and not so smooth. The OS1 Face Moisturizer is lightweight, so my skin does not feel greasy, but it is deeply nourishing. It includes their OS-01 peptide that helps our body to create healthier skin at a cellular level. It increases the skin thickness and stimulates collagen for smoother, stever skin. OS-01 Face contains ingredients such as pracaxi oil, Andiroba oil, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid.
OS-01 Body Lotion
This is the Body Lotion of UNESKIN and it has many of the same benefits as their facial floisturizer. Studies show that it improves the skin barrier and elasticity with a large amount and helps protect the skin against damage. And with prebiotics, antioxidants and other botanicals it feels great on my skin.

Annmaong Gianni
I can’t say enough about how much I love all of Annmarie Gianni products! You can also buy a trial set and test their products before you buy the full size. Although I often vary my skin care products, I have been using a lot of Annmarie Gianni lately. They are safely approved, use wildcrafted and organic ingredients, are always non-GMO and made in the US.
Here are some of my current favorites:
Aloe Herb and Phytonutrient Cleansers
The Aloe Herb Cleanser is pH -balanced, is available in various sizes and is steeped in a variety of herbs. It feels great on my skin and not to dry, because it is a cream -colored cleaning agent. Moreover, it does not leave any strange, sticky feeling on my skin afterwards. Annmarie’s Phytonutrient Cleanser contains so many active botanicals that it would be difficult to list them all! You can find Apple Extract, Aloe, Calendula, Chamomile and much more.
Hydrate hyaluronic acid with peptides
I love this elixir for when I have dry skin if the weather is really dry. It is very concentrated, so you just mix a little with your face lotion or oil and apply thirsty skin. Hydrate uses hyaluronic acid and collagen peptides for firmer, more elastic and more hydrated skin.
Anti-aging serum
Again, this anti-aging serum is full of skin loving botanical ingredients. It is an aloe -based serum that helps to fix the skin and to force them as it gets older. You don’t need much to see results. The serum uses ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, rose hydrosol and antioxidant Buddleja extract to combat free radical damage. You will also find roseship, incense, Mirre, Rhodiola, Weegbree and much more!

Fast
I am friends with Alitura’s founder Andy Hnilo and interviewed him about his great story on the podcast. Years ago Andy had a terrible accident that should have left him with large facial scars. Instead, he created a number of pretty amazing skin rejuvenation products. I like so many products from Alitura and I love their background story even more.
Cash mask
This was the original characteristic product from Alitura and the first thing I tried (and fell in love with). It has premium ingredients in a mask that you don’t find anywhere else. The freshwater polp powder restores damaged skin, along with grass -laid colostrum, ginseng, clay and kelp. My skin feels great after I have used it and it is now part of my regular routine.
Gold Serum and Moisturizer
Alitura’s superfood serum for the face helps to regenerate skin cells, improves skin tone and elasticity, plus so much more. It includes antioxidant co-Q10 and astaxanthin, marien collagen, bee propolis, alfalfa extract and others. I have noticed that it really helps to calm my skin, especially if I stay in the sun for too long.
Their facial moisturizer also hydrates thirsty skin with ingredients such as raw Christmas berries honey, blue chamomile, nautical ghoorn and wild vanilla to name just a few.
Pearl cleaner
Their Pearl Cleanser has Wildcrafted and organic botanicals to clean and renew the skin. I use it at night because it does not leave an oily residue that can come on my pillow. It has the cleaning of clay, soothing rose water, geranium hydrool and much more skin loving ingredients.

Purity forests
Perhaps you have heard me call Purity Woods Dream Cream as a natural face moisturizer. Purity Woods not only has all biological ingredients, but they also have a number of fairly unique plant extracts. I like to use their moisturizing cream together with other products in my skin care routine.
They are best known for their daily dream cream -cream -colored moisturizer, but I think their nocturnal cream is even better. It is non-fat, unscented and my skin enjoys it without residue. It uses ingredients such as Maple Leaf extract to keep elastin healthy for firmer skin, antioxidant Japanese junctions and rose hip seeds and anti-inflammatory evening primrose oil.
When I use their nightly moisturizing cream, I have the feeling that I have nothing on my face when I’m done.

Made of
I like that you keep things simple and only use natural ingredients. It is one of the first natural skin care products that I tried early in my natural health trip. I sometimes make my own lotion bars, but made on a really good hard lotion. They now also have lip balm, muscle balm, rash cream and other products.
If you are not familiar with hard lotion or lotion bars, bars on oil base are hardened with beeswax and natural butters. They are a great option for traveling or for little ones who ‘want to do it yourself’.

It can be difficult to find healthy makeup options. It is even more difficult to find healthy makeup options that really work! That is why I was so excited to find Toups & Co organic makeup. Last thoughts about healthy skin care brands
I still love my natural skin care projects, but there are just a few things that you really can’t recreate outside of a laboratory. And having access to natural and organic skin care has never been that simple or more convenient. There is such a wide variety with really great ingredients to try now.
