The lineup for UFC Mexico City appears to be nearing completion. The Las Vegas-based promotion on Wednesday confirmed nine matches for the Feb. 28 event, which will take place at Arena CDMX in Mexico City and air on Paramount+. UFC Mexico City – also known as UFC Fight Night 268 – is headlined by a flyweight clash pitting former champion Brandon Moreno against Asu Almabayev. In the co-main event, Ailin Perez takes on Macy Chiasson in the women’s bantamweight division. Since most UFC events have 13 fights, the promotion will likely add a few more fights to the card in the coming weeks.

Moreno, who enjoyed two separate reigns as UFC flyweight champion, is coming off a 1-1 campaign in 2025. He started the year with a five-round verdict over Steve Erceg in the UFC on ESPN 64 headliner in March, before suffering a second-round technical knockout loss to Tatsuro Taira at UFC 323 on December 6. “Assassin Baby” has other notable victories against the likes of Amir Albazi, Deiveson Figueiredo (twice), Kai Kara-France (twice), Brandon Royval and Jussier Formiga.

Kazakhstan’s Almabayev won six of his first seven Octagon appearances, with Manel Kape suffering the only loss last March. The 31-year-old bounced back from that loss to post back-to-back wins Jose Ochoa and Alex Perez.
