Muhammad Mokaev made headlines again last night with a brutal knockout in the second round of his BRAVE CF flyweight title fight. The punisher progressed to 15-0, capturing its first career youngster.
Taking on Gerard Burns at the BRAVE CF 100 in Bahrain, Mokaev came out confident for the second round, throwing a teep kick and without putting his foot back on the ground, he balanced and landed a sweet yet brutal headkick, followed by a lightning lead hook. A few follow-up shots were the icing on the cake for the former UFC man.

Could Muhammad Mokaev be UFC bound again?
With last night’s win, Muhammad Mokaev moved to 4-0 since leaving the UFC, including a victory in Karate Combat. To say he can do anything is an understatement.

During his UFC career he averaged 5.29 takedowns per 15 minutes, but last night he showed that he is as dangerous as he is in the wrestling world.
In his post-fight speech, the confident 25-year-old declared he is “the best flyweight in the world, No. 1.” It’s a bold statement, especially when Alexandre Pantoja is still dominating in the UFC at the age of 35.
Many wanted Mokaev to be the man to challenge Pantoja when they were both in the UFC, but as Mokaev supposedly was difficult to work withthe fight never materialized and Mokaev was relieved of his UFC duties. It’s a shame we didn’t get to see that fight, as Mokaev would give Pantoja a completely different puzzle than the ones he’s seen before.
Should the UFC re-sign Mokaev to send sparks to the flyweight division? If they do, this might not be the next step for Mokaev, who has his eyes on BRAVE CF bantamweight champion Borislav Nikolic.
Nikolic defeated Moakev’s teammate, Hamza Kooheji, in the main event of BRAVE CF 100, setting up the possibility of a champion-versus-champion fight in the future.
Will it be the UFC or will it be Nikolic next for Muhammad Mokaev? Let us know what you think in the comments!
