However, in a stunning twist, the midfield star has decided to sign for NK Kustosija in the Croatian third division, with the club announcing the signing on social media.
The mail read: “One of the most talented midfielders in the world and captain of the Senegalese U-17 national team – Mouhamed Dabo has signed a multi-year contract with NK Kustošija!

“The 17-year-old Senegalese, sought after by countless world giants, grew up at the Be Sport football academy in the capital Dakar, where he has already become a regular player for the senior team, and will arrive on the Kustošija Riviera on July 1 next year!”
Mouhamed Dabo will officially join NK Kustošija next summer, but the whole episode is wrong. How can a midfield talent who has already impressed the youth coaches of Barca and United choose to sign for a Croatian third division club?
Maybe he didn’t make an impression at his trial, maybe it was his agent driving the rumors. Or perhaps the Old Trafford side hesitated and the Be Sport Academy graduate didn’t want to wait any longer.
Anyway, in the future it will become clearer why a step did not go through. Fans needn’t worry too much as INEOS remains keen to add talent to the academy pipeline and more such gems are set to be unearthed.
