A mother who blamed her nightly sweat on the perimenopause has revealed that it was an early sign of deadly colon cancer.

Charlie O’Brien, 43, from Bromley in Southeast London, was previously fit-en-myalthy until she suddenly became very unwell at the start of the year.

Doctors found a large tumor on her large intestine and in January 2025 the diagnosis of 3 colon cancer was diagnosed.

The counselor and hypnotherapist were warmly told by doctors that she has ‘four in ten’ opportunity to survive.

Although she did not experience most classical symptoms, her tumor was already three to four years old, because colon cancer can grow very slowly.

Since her diagnosis, she has ‘been able to put it all together’ and she has shared what she thinks are the early signs of the devastating disease.

Initially she sweated the on-and-off night that she had had about two years to go into the perimenopause, but as soon as her tumor was removed ‘they stopped’.

Other symptoms that she has since linked to the tumor include a painful and pulling feeling on her left side, a bloated feeling, abdominal cramps and constipation.

A mother shared that on and off night sweat was an early sign that she had colon cancer

Now she has urged others who experienced one of the early signs to ‘insist on impressions with your doctor if necessary’.

Posted in a video Tap That has been viewed more than 114,000 times, she also shared the usual colon cancer symptoms that she did not experience.

These include blood from the soil, weight loss, fatigue, vitamin deficiency and loss of appetite.

“If I can help someone not to go through the terrible experience I have – these messages are more than worth it,” she wrote in the caption.

And it seems that her decision to become public with her diagnosis and health struggle has already started with a positive wrinkle effect.

After having bravely shared her experience, many people told her that they had a colonoscopy or booked an appointment.

Since continuing an emergency operation to remove the tumor, Mrs. O’Brien has undergone eight rounds of chemotherapy, to go with more.

The commentary part was flooded with support for social media users.

A user said: ‘Thank you very much for sharing this. (I) I really hope you are doing well. ‘

Another said: “This is so important to spread consciousness. I have just been diagnosed and never had one of the classic (symptoms). ‘

It is amid an alarming explosion of cancers among young people who have stunned experts.

In the past 30 years, young diagnoses of colon cancer have risen by 80 percent around the world, research suggests.

In the meantime, the speeds of the disease in older groups, which are statistically, are more likely to get the disease in general, rejected or remained stable until the same period.

Regarding last year’s experts, deaths from colon cancer were increased by tenth in 2040.

Various statements have been proposed by experts for the explosion in cases among young people.

Earlier this year, a Bombshell study showed that a common food bug E. coli that was picked up in childhood can feed the epidemic.

Other researchers have suggested that it could be due to ‘accelerated aging’, which increases their risk of developing polyps, increases small growth that can lead to cancer.

It is thought that this aging is caused by a mixture of lifestyle choices, such as diet and the level of exercise.

However, it has also been suggested that factors can usually be debt outside the control of an individual, such as chemicals in food, clothing and air.

Some studies have pointed to seed oil such as sunflower, canola, corn and grapes, as an explanation.

In the meantime, a growing number of studies have put blame for ultra-processed foods (UPFS).

Other theories suggest microplastics particles of plastic that are transferred to food from packaging materials and additives in food purchased in the store.
