Key insights: The most productive 50 consecutive innings ever in T20Is
Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan leads the run count, with a total of 2342 runs between innings numbers 16 and 65. During this prolific form, Rizwan went beyond 50 in an innings 22 times, including the lone century he scored against South Africa in Lahore. He averaged 60.05 during this phase while batting at a strike rate of 130.40.
The only other batsmen to have amassed 2000 or more runs in 50 consecutive T20I innings are Babar Azam and Virat Kohli. While former Pakistan skipper Babar Azam made 2080 with a strike rate of 131.31 and an average of 48.37 between innings 14 and 63, Virat Kohli just crossed the mark. The latter had a pass rate of 141.05 during this phase.

Consistency: Batters cross the 1600 run mark
A total of 23 batters have scored 1600 runs in a given set of 50 T20I knocks for their respective country. Apart from the 10 mentioned here, these 13 batters have had a fruitful time when it comes to batting in T20I cricket. They are:

Virat Kohli’s batting average of 60.91 is the highest for batters with at least 1600 runs in their 50 consecutive T20I appearances. He made 2010 runs between his 21st and 70th T20I innings for India.
Rizwan’s average of 60.05 makes him second best behind Kohli in this regard, although the former leads the series in 50 consecutive T20I innings.
Apart from these two batters, none of the others averaged above 50 in any given series of 50 consecutive innings. However, there are six batters with an average of 45 or more, namely: Babar Azam (48.37), Suryakumar Yadav (47.10), Jos Buttler (47.21), Sami Sohail (48.69), Virandeep Singh (45.41) and Muhammad Tanveer (45.33).

When it comes to the strike rate for batters with at least 1600 runs in 50 consecutive T20I innings, Indian Suryakumar Yadav tops the charts. The current Indian skipper had a whopping 168.63 strikes between the 17th and 66th innings, while in 1978 he averaged 47.10.
The player with the next best hitting percentage is Glenn Maxwell. The Australian all-rounder batted at a strike rate of 161.14 between the 14th and 63rd innings as he piled up 1605 runs during that phase.
The other players who batted at a strike rate of 150 or more are: Muhammad Waseem (156.72), Jos Buttler (152.15), Rohit Sharma (151.93), Sikandar Raza (153.56) and Aaron Finch (158.97).

Most fifties in 50 consecutive T20I innings (minimum 1600 runs)
Pakistani duo Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam have scored the most 50-plus scores during their best 50-inning spell in T20I cricket. Both Babar and Rizwan are one of the most prolific opening pairs in the format and have 22 fifty-plus scores each.
Following them is Virat Kohli, who has 20 such scores in the format.
