The latest era consists of a new Plus Four model, which is powered by a BMW engine and marks the return of the Plus Four nameplate to the US market for the first time in the early 2000s. However, Morgan’s partnership with BMW has been going on since the year 2000, and the historic manufacturer is celebrating a milestone 25th anniversary of the engineering partnership by showcasing the many cars that have emerged from it.

Morgan brought together for the first time a range of 14 BMW-powered Morgans, starting with the Aero 8 and culminating in Morgan’s latest models. The collaboration started in 2000 with the Aero 8, which had a BMW M62 4.4-liter V8 engine under the hood. BMW V8s were the last V8s to power Morgans, with the 2021 Plus 8 GTR an example of which is part of the assembled group.

Then BMW’s six- and four-cylinder engines took over with the CX platform, using BMW engines to balance driving pleasure and pure enjoyment. One of those cars, powered by the 3.0-liter six-cylinder B58 engine, is the Morgan Designed by Pininfarina, Midsummer is a limited edition barchetta with an ultra-luxurious design and collector’s potential. Now the BMW B48 powers the new Plus Four, Morgan’s new entry-level sports car intended for classically inspired style and driving pleasure.

A new flagship, the Morgan Supersport, features the B58 engine and is poised to be the most dynamically capable Morgan yet with the new CXV platform. The fourteen-car line-up, created to celebrate 25 years of partnership with BMW, shows that through their collaboration, Morgan and BMW have not only developed a much-loved range of classically inspired sports cars, but also helped shape the last quarter of a century of automotive history.
