Luton, UK – on September 20, 2025, the More than 50s Black Men Forum (O5BM) Proud organized the first older Black Men Community Table Tennis competition of the UK and brought seven (7) of our community centers together for a day with lively competition and joyful connection.
Centers of Luton North, Luton South, Stevenage, Chelmsford, Grays, Thapsmead and Southend collected in Luton To compete in both singles and double competitions. The atmosphere was electric, filled with cheers, laughter and a shared feeling of pride.
Chelmsford triumphed in the singles match and Luton claimed the victory in the Doubles competition. The winning teams were proudly presented by the Mayor of Luton, councilor Amy NichollsIn a time when the performance of the day was awarded.
We were also pleased to welcome Chris Bryden, Area Manager for Tabel Tennis Englandwho was present to support and observe the tournament, as a result of which a valued presence was added to the procedure of the day.
