This is the shocking moment that a fire has flooded a popular hotspot for tourist coast.
The Inferno, who is feared to have deliberately started above Bournemouth Beach, broke out on Saturday evening at 8.39 pm while partygoers strolling along the Promenade.
Roaring Flames could be seen that 50FT jumped into the air while the fire, fueled by strong wind, and quickly covered a 100m x 100 m area of a Gorse-covered patch in East Cliff.
De Blaze could be seen in Poole Bay and Dorset & Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service received 60 calls to it.
There are around 50 mountain goats that live and graze in that area of the cliff.
Dwfrs confirmed that no one was injured and crews could extinguish the fire before it reached the animal’s fence.
The chaos was also close to cliff-top flats and hotels, although they were not in danger because of the main road in between.
More than 40 firefighters attended the scene and turn off the flames in two hours.
A witness said: “I just don’t understand why some people want to destroy nature and, worse, endanger others.
“This was clearly intentional, because it happened deep in vegetation, in an area that is not easily accessible, which means that someone must have deliberately entered to set fire to it.”
Firefighters returned to the cliff this morning to mute hotspots.
A spokesperson for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 8.39 pm last night our control room received the first of more than 60 calls for reports of a fire on the undergarments near Bournemouth Pier.
“Firefighters from Springbourne, Westbourne, Poole, Ferndown, Christchurch and Wimborne lived and treated a fire of approximately 100 m x 100 m.
“Firefighters used compressed air foam, main lines and work safely on high equipment to extinguish the fire.
“A crew from Springbourne returned this morning to the lower cliffs to inspect again.
“They have found some hotspots and asked the air ladder platform from Westbourne to help with access to the hotspots.
“The cliff does not burn spontaneously, despite the warm weather that we have experienced, so we believe that there has been some human intervention.
“However, we cannot determine whether that is accidental or intentional.”
