Salah provided the assist for Szoboszlai before winning and converting a penalty. It is only the third time he has completed all three in one game for Liverpool.

The Egyptian winger put in a stellar performance and received a standing ovation from Anfield when he was sent off, but he gave full credit to the versatile midfielder, who he believes holds the key to a cup run this year.
“There was certainly pressure on the penalty,” Salah told TNT Sports. “It is a very important victory for us. It gives us confidence for the coming matches.”
“I think a cup run depends on him [Szoboszlai’s] performances. We rely on him so much. This season he is one of the best players in the world.
“It’s great to win trophies. Hopefully we can continue.”

Szoboszlai has earned comparisons to Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard, but the forward only wants to be the best version of himself on the pitch.
“I just want to keep going and score as much as I can,” he said.
“I’m not playing a Steven Gerrard season. Even though he was a legend at the club, I’m trying to write my own story. I’m trying to do my best every game. Hopefully we can continue until the end.”
