The implementation of the toll collection system with multiple lane free stream (MLFF) will not include financial implications for the government, said Deputy Minister of Werken Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan reported, reported Declared. The initiative is part of a new direction set by the Works Ministry (KKR), which was presented to the cabinet on July 25, said the deputy Minister of Works.

The new initiative also enables the companies of the service provider to negotiate and directly with the 33 existing highway concession companies based on Business-to-Business (B2B) to make its implementation possible, Ahmad Maslan continued.

“For example, PNB Prolintas is currently carrying out a proof of concept, testing or testing at the Alam Impian Toll Plaza on the Kemuning-Shah Alam Highway (LKSA) in collaboration with Touch ‘n Go and Cimb. They have installed gantries and equipment to test the implementation of Mlff on location.

With regard to tackling the issue of discharge of tolling rate on the implementation of the MLFF TOTOL rate collection system, RFID technology and automated license plate recognition (ANPR) systems are used on MLFF -Lanen.

“Everyone who does not pay toll on MLFF jobs will certainly be followed, because we record the license mark numbers that go through the gantries. [This means that] Those who do not pay will certainly be identified and issued a notification. Possibly in the future, certain enforcement methods can be introduced, such as [prohibiting the renewal of] Road tax, and so on, “he said.

The substitute minister added that the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) continuously monitors the performance of existing RFID jobs, so that motorway operators are more often coordinated. “This is to ensure that the RFID system is improved in the jobs, while it also increases user consciousness when maintaining sufficient balance when using the tolpleinen,” he said.

Last week, the Minister of Works of Works Ministry General said that Seri Azman Ibrahim is that concession holders from the highway to choose their own partners for MLFF tolt rates, whether they name them directly or collaborate with others.
