Mizuno has launched a new driver for 2026 that adds the LX-01 model broken cover to the USGA Conforming List.
Little is known about the features of LX-01 other than those visible in the images added to the USGA Conforming List in November 2025.
After I also had one new D111 prototype driver similarly, Mizuno went under the radar in January 2025 with the addition of the LX-01 driver.
LX-01 hybrids, irons and wedges have also been added to the compliant list and appear to be game improvement designs with no adjustable hosel and what appears to be a stripped-down design.

Images of the driver and some minor details are all that is known as the LX-01 is added to the compliant list with little fanfare.
What we do know is that the driver is available in lofts of 10.5 and 15 degrees and that there is no adjustable hosel incorporated into the design.
No further technology, design elements or information have been provided – but the images do show a stylish black head similar to other Mizuno models.
It’s almost certainly a game improvement model and possibly part of a complete set, given the inclusion of hybrids, irons and wedges on the USGA list.
It is unlikely that a new model will replace any of the models ST-X 230, ST-Z 230, STMax 230 And ST-G 440 drivers.
