Michael Conforto from Dodgers could lose the playing time in the midst of struggles, says Dave Roberts

The Los Angeles Dodgers have had many moments this season, with the Outfield missing the right production both offensive and defensively.

In particular, Michael Conforto’s .103 stroke average during his first 119 games as a dodger, along with an outs above average ranking in just the seventh percentile over MLB, greatly hindered the left field position.

Manager Dave Roberts spoke about how he is not afraid of shaking things in the line -up, regardless of who underperforms it.

Roberts also spoke on the outfielder opposite Frosto, Teoscar Hernández and his recent struggles that led to his bank on Sunday. Hernández struggles in the same way about defense, with his outs above the average assessment in only the second percentile and the beating of .211 until the month of August.

“He is an everyday man, but I do think that where we are, you also have to perform, to justify every day, right, right?” Said Roberts.

When asked whether this extends to everyone, the skipper wasted not words in his response.

“Yes, it does,” said Roberts.

Now threatening important players is one thing, but publicly keeping the defensive champions of the baseball world responsible prior to the last month of the regular season is not the same as that. Roberts clarified that the liability that is supported by the entire team must be considered a positive.

“I think that’s a good thing,” said Roberts. “Nobody will be exempt. Nobody. I just think we should play the best players and it should be, right?”

The sentiment remains the same, but it seems that his MVPs will be safe, apart from important changes.

“It is clear that Shohei (Ohtani) is going to play. Mookie (Betts) will play,” said Roberts. “But the point is that we have to perform it and we have to get better. If some other guys deserve more opportunities, then they will get them. That’s how it should be.”

Controrto has been struggling for quite some time, but his .167 battle average over his last 25 games sounds like it might lead to the last drop in Roberts’ eyes.
