Mercedes-Benz tried to convince a federal judge to dismiss the entire domestic wood movement, but the judge only rejected certain claims and let the majority of claims continue.
The interior wood cover is reportedly needed a recovery in these models.

According to the lawsuit, the interior veneer wooden finish cutting, something Mercedes-Benz knew that it would happen but hidden from customers.
The Class Action says that the interior would short that restoration is expensive and that vehicle owners are not stuck to paying for defects in the veneer finish.
An owner who has filed the lawsuit complains that a Mercedes-Benz dealer told her that it would cost more than $ 1,000 to replace the interior finish of the veneer and is said to cause a loss of vehicle value. The plaintiff claims that Mercedes should have paid for repairing or replacing the wood finish, although the vehicle was six years old.
The interior of the wooden trim class action claims that the cracked interior wood veneer makes the entire vehicle defective and unsuitable for driving. Moreover, the court case claims that the cracked upholstery means that the vehicles are ‘not tradable’.
The Mercedes-Benz Class Action rights store includes 11 claimants who complain that the automaker refuses to do something for free about the cracked interior finish.
Motion to reject the Mercedes Interior Wood Trim
Mercedes argues that the 11 claimants mentioned are not to submit claims for vehicles that they have never rented or owned. For example, Mercedes argues that none of the claimants has rented a GL or GLK model nor a vehicle from 2019 to 2022.
Judge Thomas W. Thrash, Jr.,, however, ruled that this issue is better considered in the Class Action certification phase of the court case.
The judge continued to move forward most of the claims. But he fired different, including a violation of explicit warranty, violation of implicit guarantee, violation of the Magnuson-Moss Guarantee Act and unjust enrichment with regard to all claimants except one.
Also fired are claims with regard to a violation of the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, violation of the Florida Deceptive and Un atmosphere Trade Practices Act and violation of the South Carolina Unfair Trade Practices Act with regard to all claimants except one.
More than 10 claims will go to court.
