Regular schedule this week, changes are coming
Hollywood Casino at the Meadows racet this week on his regular schedule, with Harnas Racenactie Wednesday and Thursday at 12:45 pm, Friday evening at 5:10 pm and Saturday at 12:45 pm. Next week there will be no live racing on Saturday 16 August because of the annual Corks & Kegs Festival. There will be no racing from 22-23 August, because a Country Music Festival will take place. Because of those events, a map was added on Tuesday, August 19. With the full live card that day there will be no qualifications the morning of the 19th. Also keep in mind that the PA Sire Stake and Pa Stallion Series events for 2YO C/G Pacers that was originally planned for Friday, August 22, has been moved to Thursday 21 August.
Palone, Wrenn continues to fight
Drivers Dave Palone and Ronnie Wrenn JR continue to fight at the top of the rankings at the Meadows. Palone now has a 11-win lead, 256-245, while we are moving to August. Aaron Merriman (161), Mike Wilder (86) and Jeremy Indof (77) complete the top five.
Sophomore Colts, Fillies in Action Saturday
Saturday’s map will contain three-year-old trotters in Pennsylvania Sire Stake and Pa Stallion Series-Action, while they try to earn valuable points towards the end of the seasonal championships in both series. The box closes on Wednesday morning for entries and the draw will be unveiled on Wednesday afternoon. Both foal and marefolds will take place, so races will probably dominate the Saturday card. Post time is 12:45 pm.
