McLaren honors Japan with a very special supercar from the 750s

This week, McLaren unveiled the JC96, a limited edition of the 750s that commemorate McLaren’s participation in the All-Japan Grand Touring Car Championship. In 1996 the racing team won the driver’s championship with the McLaren F1 GTR.

Almost three decades later the opportunity will be marked with 61 cars that are only available to customers in Japan. Each car wears a unique Livrei ‘Tiger Stripe’ that goes back to the F1 GTR, as well as interior details and ultra-light weight 15-spoke falsified alloy wheels inspired by the racing car.

On the outside, 750 JC96 wears unique details on the front splitter, rear wing and mirror mirrors. Customers can choose from different colors, including Memphis Red, Titanium Silver, Ice White and Graphite Gray. If you have an eccentric taste, you can choose a more unique color via the customized paint program of the company.

Others tells of the JC96 comprises glossy black elements on the roof and back diffuser. Golden calipers with a red McLaren logo complete the outside. Inside, a complete Alcantara -Make -Make -over the cabin, as well as embroidered ‘JC96’, on the headrests. There is a gold plaque to commemorate the victory of the driver’s championships, with more gold elements sprinkled everywhere, including the pedals.

The JC96 can be ordered as a coupé or the spider. McLaren notes that his special operations can be added to the open-top variant for the first time. This includes a revised front bumper for the larger splitter, an active rear spoiler and a louvred under-wing panel. In total, this kit must produce 10 percent more downforce compared to the standard 750S.

McLaren mentioned no change in the powertrain. So anticipate the 4.0-liter V-8 with double turbo to continue to produce 740 hp and 590 pound-foot torque. Every 750S uses an automatic transmission with seven gears with double clutch. That must ensure a top speed of 206 miles per hour.

No report is made of a timeline for release. Because this is a tribute to McLaren’s racing season from 1996, it is a safe gamble to anticipate deliveries in 2026.
