Malaysian automotive electronics and mechatronics solutions Provider multi-code electronics (MCE) has announced that it has inked a memorandum of agreement (MOU) with Huizhou for You General Electronics (ADAYO) to work on the Development, Production and Marketing of SMARTAYS and Slimsen.
The signing took place last week in Hangzhou during the China-Malaysia Supply Chain Collaboration Program, which was partly organized by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) Transportation Technology Division and Jackour Automobile Malaysia.
According to MCE, the collaboration will strengthen its position in the Smart-Cockpit domain, a core product in the next generation vehicles, with infotainment in the vehicle, cockpit domain controllers and connected vehicle systems.
According to the agreement, MCE will produce and deliver these products in Malaysia and throughout the region, while ADAYO Technology Platforms, Product Development and Technical Support will offer, with a first focus on programs for car manufacturers in Malaysia and Asean. Early work flows include investigating the localization of smart-cockpit and infotainment systems for selected programs in Malaysia.
“This collaboration will enable us to better support automakers here to further locate their offer, while we cancel the local supplier base and talent to support the government’s ambition for Malaysia to be the Automotive Hub in the region,” said MCE Group MD GOH Kar Chun.
