Dallas Mavericks have selected CAA Sports as their signature sales agency to oversee the commercial strategy for the franchise’s planned new arena.
The partnership will focus on securing naming rights and founder-level sponsors for what the team describes as a next-generation sports and entertainment destination in North Texas.
“We have an ambitious vision for the future of the Dallas Mavericks,” said CEO Rick Welts. “CAA Sports brings global expertise, deep industry relationships and a strong track record of delivering transformational partnerships for elite sports properties.”
Since 2007, CAA Sports has generated more than $15 billion in sponsorship revenue and signed naming rights deals for Levi’s Stadium, Chase Center and Intuit Dome.
The company has also won multiple Sports Business Journal awards for excellence in real estate consulting and sales.
“This marks an exciting opportunity for brands to join a dynamic, world-class organization in the thriving economic hub of Dallas,” said Paul Danforth, general manager and president of CAA Sports.
Team president Ethan Casson added: “Arena development requires the right advisors to be at the table early, and CAA Sports has long demonstrated the expertise and creativity needed to shape major sports and entertainment projects.”
The arena project is designed to elevate the fan experience while serving as a modern home for basketball and major live events.
