When he was taken with the 28th overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, not many people knew his name. Now? Calgary Flames fans are excited about Matvei Gridin. After an excellent training camp and preseason, Gridin was named to the opening night roster. Jonathan Huberdeau, who started the season on IR, gave him a chance to make sure management didn’t send him back.
