The Tasmanian nationals have confirmed two former Jacqui Lambie Network (JLN) MPs, a former JLN candidate and a former liberal who separates themselves from the party as candidates for the elections.

The party announced seven candidates with three voters, with policy of re -negotiating with the AFL about the Macquarie Point Stadium and tackling the state budget.

Former JLN parliament member Miriam Beswick, who became independent, will run in Braddon, and former JLN Member of Parliament Andrew Jenner, who was mentioned at the JLN until the elections, will be called in Lyons.

John Tucker – who left the liberals to become independent, which was an important precursor of the last state elections, where he lost his chair – will also be a National candidate in Lyon.

They were accompanied by the candidate -announcement by former JLN candidate and lawyer Angela Armstrong and former Federal Nationals candidate and Rowella -farmer Carl Cooper, who will both run in Bass.

The identity of the other two candidates was unclear in the announcement.

The candidates said that one Rick is called, and the other Francis, who, according to Mr. Tucker, has a “double” last name.

They said their names would be on a press release later, but they were not on the press release.

A party spokesperson later confirmed as accountant Rick Mandelson and retired lawyer Francis Haddon-Cave, who seems to have practiced in Hong Kong.

Both are candidates for Lyons.

Nationals that are re -negotiated about the AFL deal

Mr. Tucker’s decision to leave the liberal party was partly due to his opposition against the proposed Macquarie Point Stadium.

He said that the policy of the Tasmanian nationals must “bank” the stadium.

“Look further at the AFL deal, re -negotiate. That is where we see that we are sitting,”

Mr Tucker said.

“We see that [Launceston’s] York Park is therefore a possible solution.

“Negotiating men about the deal with the people and coming back with a solution.”

He said that the party would later release other policy in the campaign.

“I am quite happy to work with the liberals, I still have a number of very good friends in the liberal party that I still talk to,” he said.

Prime Minister Jeremy Rockliff said that he “welcomes everyone who is willing to stand for parliament”, but wanted “stability” in Tasmania.

Challenge to offer politically ‘alternative’

The Nationals have difficulty in coming in Tasmania in Tasmania in various national and federal elections.

In the 2014 state elections, the party reached 2 percent of the votes in Braddon and 1.1 percent in Lyons.

In the Federal Elections of 2019, the Nationals succeeded in getting 15.7 percent of the votes in Lyons, mainly because of the liberal candidate Jessica Whelan who resigned and the party who led voters to the subjects.

Nathan Richardson-Die potatoes and breakfast cereals in Thirlstane grows in northwestern State-Zei that there was a need for an alternative to rural voters.

“That will be the challenge for [The Nationals]; To touch an identity, and an alternative, and a contrast with what we already have in Tasmania, “

he said.

“We really need people who only represent people who do not represent multinationals, international companies, the big end of the city, actually return to representing companies, people and taxpayers.”
