Sheffield United Reis this weekend to Hull City and looks for their season in search of their season after a disastrous start.
Sheffield United made the headlines on Tuesday evening when manager Chris Wilder kicked a ball in the stands and hit a supporter. However, the returning boss will be much more concerned about the form of SUFC on the field.
After tracing a resting place to lose 2-1 at home against Southampton, the Blades suffered their seventh defeat in eight champion matches. It was again a harmful setback in a season that was already under pressure.
Yet Sheffield United remains only four points away from 20th place. They are also 10 points from the play -offs and keep vague hope for recovery alive.
The problems are clear, with only three goals scored throughout the season. Their defense is also one of the worst in the competition, which gives in 15 times despite a clean slate in a 1-0 win in Oxford United.
Tyrese Campbell has scored two of those goals for the club. Encouraging, Wilder’s side have only admitted four times in his three games that are in charge.

Tahith Chong seems to miss the next few games for Sheffield United. Chong was injured in global warming for the victory over Oxford United, a game in which he would start.
Speak to the mediaWilder said this on Chong: he added: “It’s not great (the scan results), he is torn meniscus cartilage in his knee, so four to six weeks will be out, not as bad as it could have been, but unfortunately the missing of a player will be involved, but the break comes at a good time.
Summer signing Ben Godfrey has missed the last two games for SUFC. For personal reasons, it remains not available for the blades.

Sheffield United is not worried about fresh injuries from the defeat against Southampton. Oli Arblaster and Jamie Shackleton are not for the blades.
Predicted XI
(3-4-2-1)
Cooper; Tanganga, McGuinness, please; Ogbene, Peck, Matos, McCallum; O’hare, hammer; Campbell
Two changes in the defeat to Southampton for the blades. Alex Matos and Sam McCallum come in the side.
Matos replaces Tom Davies in the starting XI. Davies’ injury history makes it unlikely that he will start games so close together.
As far as McCallum is concerned, he replaces Harrison Burrows at the left back. McCallum was signed by Wilder last season, but he still has to start a match for SUFC this season.
Summer signs Tyler Bindon, Djibril Soumare and Louie Barry All stay on the couch. The trio has to see their knife career rise after becoming a member.
