Marnus Labuschagne was dropped from the Australia team for the ODI series of three games against India as in-form Queensland teammate Matt Renshaw gets a surprising call-up.

Labuschagne has been omitted from the one-day international side after he was fired for one of his two innings in August during the top series against South Africa. The right-handed has a top score of 47 in his last 10 ODI innings.

The 31-year-old has played 68 ODIs and collected 1,871 runs on an average of 34.64, but will now continue to insist his claims on a test reminder on time for the axis that starts in Perth on November 21.

This week Labuschagne shown signs of a return to form with 160 for Queensland in the Sheffield Shield, while Renshaw also struck a century for the bulls in the same match against Tasmania.

Renshaw is in line to make his international debut in the White ball in the coming series against India after he was last admitted to an ODI team in 2022.

The left-handed person played 14 tests with the last arrival in India in 2023, but also hopes for a Red-Ball-back-back campaign such as Australia in search of a solution for their top order misery.

Left Arm Quick Mitchell Starc returns for the ODI series against India after he was equipped since the leading role for Australia in the 3-0 Tour Sweep of the West India in July.

Big Bash star Mitch Owen was able to make his odi debut after being a concussion in the run-up to the last 50-over series of Australia against South Africa.

ODI captain Pat Cummins stays on the sidelines while he wants to recover from a back injury in time to lead Australia in the first Ashes test in November.

Australia has only mentioned a team for the first two T20s against India with the ashes on the horizon, although Glenn Maxwell will miss all five-match series due to a wrist injury suffered in New Zealand.

Mitch Marsh will lead both the ODI and T20 sides after having hit the last match against New Zealand to seal a 2-0 series victory last week.
