Nifty reversed its two-session winning trend to end lower on Thursday amid broad selling with financial, auto and IT sectors among the major laggards. The index closed below the 50 DMA for the third consecutive session.Commenting on the day’s action, Rupak De, Senior Technical Analyst at LKP Securities, said Nifty ended the session on a negative note, indicating near-term pressure. However, Nifty has managed to hold above the 20 EMA for the past three days, indicating that the range may remain tight in the near term. “The daily RSI remains positive. Going forward, the 25,480-25,500 zone remains a crucial support, while any decline towards 25,875 is likely to face selling pressure. The index appears to remain within a range in the short term, while select individual stocks may outperform,” De said.
