Mark Zuckerberg loves MMA so much that he has rented out entire arenas, spent on a ship, underwent a major operation to resolve a fighting injury, won medals and built a “back garden” Octagon on his Ko’Olau Ranch compound in Hawaii. And according to one new book Through the former president of Global Affairs in Meta, Zuckerberg even asked a few managers to get on the mat.
“The dedication of Mark to MMA is so strong that he was one morning afterwards, during a management offsite, that some of his oldest executives go with him for a training session,” wrote Nick Clegg in his book to be paid soon, How to save the internet (Penguin; November 11, 2025).

Fast company report That Clegg describes a particularly uncomfortable sounding scene in the book when he is settled in a “colleague on the mat in a”Domination Mount”Maneuver.
Clegg wrote that it was “too close for comfort”, the outlet notes.
Meta-investors are warned in official files that Zuckerberg and other management members participate “in various risky activities, such as combat sports, extreme sports and recreational aviation, which bring the risk of serious injury and death.”
