Mark Cuban lashed out to Pablo Torre after the two came into a heated debate about Torre’s report on the alleged Kawhi Leonard scandal.
Torre claimed that owner Steve Ballmer and the Clippers have bypassed the rules of the NBA’s Salary Cap by giving Leonard a marketing agreement of $ 28 million when starting the environment.
Cuban went to X to defend Ballmer and said that he is “not stupid” and the statement of Ballmer that he was scammed by supporting aspiration.
Torre then invited Cubaan to talk about it on his podcast, who accepted Cubaan.
When Torre promoted the long -term discussion with Cubaan, the former owner of Mavericks appointed the problem how it was presented.
“Pablo, come on,” put Cuban on X. “You only pushed your side in the promos. Nothing that you said you made your point. You took a lot of information provided by scammers, who negotiated with someone who was not connected with Ballmer and took them against the nominal value. Still Ballmer Team.”
The clippers denied every misconduct in a statement and Ballmer went on ESPN to explain his side of the controversy.
The NBA has announced that it is investigating formally.
Ballmer said he had invested $ 50 million in aspiration and deals for advertising possibilities, and at a certain point, appointing rights for the new Inglewood arena of the team that was opened in 2024.
“We were done. We were done with Kawhi, we were done with aspiration. The deals were all locked up and loaded,” Ballmer said the outlet. “Then they asked to get acquainted with Kawhi, and according to the rules we can introduce our sponsors to our athletes. We just can’t be involved.”
Ballmer said that neither the team were involved in the deal between Leonard and Aspiration.
“We even found the e -mail that makes the first introduction. It was at the beginning of November,” Ballmer said. “The introduction was made and then they were on their way to the races in themselves. We were not involved.
“I finally learned that they had reached a deal. I have no idea what the deal was.”
Co-founder of Aspiratie Joe Sandberg argued guilty of two counts of wire fraud for cheating investors and money lenders of more than $ 248 million, the Ministry of Justice announced in August.
“These were guys who committed fraud,” said Ballmer. “Look, they defeated me. They defeated me. I made an investment in these guys who thought it was aware, and they defeated me at this stage. I am unable to predict why they might have done everything they did, let alone the specific contract with Kawhi.
“I assessed, my employees mainly assessed fraudulent financial data. Now, should I have sniff it? Maybe I feel ashamed and a bit stupid that I didn’t eliminate it, but I didn’t.
