Homely veteran Mareep Singh has decided to separate with Tripura prior to the Interior season 2025-26, so that his association with the team was terminated after just one year.
Maneeep, who led Tripura about formats in the 2024-25 season, was shown in six Ranji Trophy matches, six Vijay Hazare Trophy matches and seven of them in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Although Tripura did not go further than the group stage in all three tournaments, the ACE seizure had an impressive season on an individual front.
In the Ranji trophy he hit an unbeaten 124 and registered five half centuries, overlawing the fifty Run marking in every game he played. He also recorded three 1950s in the Vijay Hazare trophy, including a top score of 94 against Bengal, while adding two half-century people to the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the most important domestic 20-over competition.
“Thank you Tripura Ca for giving the opportunity to play last season, I enjoyed my time there. Made some wonderful memories and outside the field. I wish the team success for the coming season. I look forward to the next chapter,” Maneep wrote on Instagram.

Maneeep, who switched to Tripura after 15 years in 2024 PunjabCaptain the side about the formats last season. During his term of office at Punjab, he led them to the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy title in 2023-24, so that the 30-year drought of the team in the competition was ended. His next team for the 2025-26 season has yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, India Batter Hanuma Vihari Has moved from Andhra to Tripura for the coming season. The Andhra Cricket Association has provided him with a no-object certificate (NOC) to the 31-year-old and released his transfer. Vihari, who has represented India in 16 tests and played 131 first -class matches, is now not guaranteed the captain of Tripura.
Tripura, which will compete in the elite division of both red and white-ball formats in 2025-26, will open their season with a Ranji-Trophy collision against services on 15 October.
