Marco Silva, the Fulham manager, has rejected suggestions that Harry Wilson could leave the club.
Wilson ended a good performance on Saturday in the 3-1 victory of the club at Brentford in Craven Cottage with his first goal of the season.
It still marked a positive step for 28-year-old Wales International, who has gone into force since he almost came to Leeds in the last hours of the summer transfer window.
A private jet was ready to transfer Wilson to Yorkshire to Transfer Deadline Day only for Fulham, who had focused on Chelsea attacker Tyrique George as a potential replacement to draw the plug to the deal.
‘I know how much Harry Wilson wants to stay in the football club’
It is said that Wilson remains a target for Daniel Farke, but, after he has retained the services of the former Liverpool man, claimed that he has not been restless by talking a move and finding himself at the club.
“He won’t be distracted at all,” Silva said. “I know him very well, he is not a player who has only been with me for a month, two months or two years. It is his fifth season with us.
‘[He] Was my first signing in this football club when I became a member and I know him very well. For me it was never a problem and I really know how much he wants to stay in the football club.
“Of course, conversations between us and his representatives [will take place] Also, and let’s see what will happen.
“But I know that his goal is to stay in the football club, and if we can get an agreement, his future will be 100% sure.”
‘It was not a situation for me’
Wilson, who wants to get play time under his belt while Wales tries to qualify for a second consecutive world cup, has shown this season in each of the Fulham matches. With his existing contract that will expire next summer, he hopes to conclude a long -term agreement.
“Of course he is looking for what is best for him, as the club tries to get the best for the football club, but I know what his goal is,” Silva added.
“I think it’s normal, a player with the quality he has, and in the last year of his contract, in terms of interest in him.
‘[But] It was not a situation for me, that was the reason he started the first Premier League match before Deadline Day. “
