Manchester United -boss Marc Skinner has provided fitness updates about Anna Sandberg, Leah Galton, Simi Awujo and Millie Turner prior to Friday with Chelsea.

United wants to expand the unbeaten start

On the way to the collision with table leaders Chelsea at the newly mentioned progress with Unity Stadium, United is in the second position, with only two points.

United has enjoyed an excellent start of the WSL campaign and registered three victories against Leicester City, London City Lionesses and Liverpool, and a scoreless draw versus Arsenal.

Chelsea is the only side that currently has a better record than the side of Marc Skinner, who has won all four of their luminaires.

Last season, Chelsea turned out to be a heavy obstacle for United and he won all three of their meetings, including a decisive victory in the FA Cup final in Wembley Stadium.

Both competition meetings, however, ended in narrow 1-0 defeats for the Reds, so there is hope that they can achieve a better result this time.

Prior to the competition, Skinner confirmed that Sandberg and Awujo are available for selection, while Galton and Turner remain offside.

Skinner issues injury updates on key quartet

Skinner said in his pre-match presser”Anna caught sick on the day, so that’s why she stopped from the team. She got a late fitness test but couldn’t endure it. She should be good in this game.”

“Simi Awujo should be back in training today, so should be part of the MatchDay team.”

“Leah’s training but will probably miss it.”

Skinner noted that Turner’s knee injury is not as serious as initially feared, although it is unlikely that she will be back in action for the turns of the year.

He said about the defender: “Millie with the knee injury she had, it was not so bad when we first thought, but she will probably be out until around Christmas.”

“We hope to welcome her back just after the new year. Hopefully that is the timetable and the plan.”

United vs. Chelsea starts at 7.30 p.m.
