Mange Tout is the clear favorite with some bookmakers for the JCB Triumph Hurdle after initiating a Fairyhouse four-timer for trainer Gordon Elliott.

The three-year-old was a winner on her only start in France, made a successful Irish debut at Down Royal and moved up to the third level for the BAR 1 Betting Juvenile Hurdle in County Meath.

With Willie Mullins-trained French recruit Narciso Has narrowly preferred to the 5-4 market leader in the market, Mange Tout was an 11-8 shot in the hands of Jack Kennedy and took over the approach of the final flight before pulling two and three-quarter lengths ahead of Narciso Has on the run-in.

Paddy Power make Mange Tout their 8-1 favorite from 16-1 for the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March.

“She did everything wrong the last day, so we said we’ll drop her off, let her settle in today and see how she goes. It was a good performance and I’m definitely happy with it,” Elliott said.

“I told Jack she wasn’t jumping great, but when he pulled her out and gave her some space, he said she was really good the last two. That’s what you want. She was in a better place today.

“She put the lengths in very quickly, from the last one to the line, and I imagine she’s going to Leopardstown now.

“We’re still dreaming for a while. I’m sure a lot of good (youth hurdlers) will come out. I don’t have that many, she’s as good as us at the moment.”

Elliott went on to win the Royal Bond Novice Hurdle with Koktail Brut (8-13 favourite), the Drinmore Novice Chase with Romeo Coolio (8-15 favourite) and the Hatton’s Grace Hurdle with Teahupoo (even favourite), who won the Grade One feature for the third time.

“It’s just one of those days where the horses are absolutely flying and we’re absolutely thrilled with it,” added the Cullentra House handler.

“Right now I’m getting the bounce of the ball and another day it will be someone else. I’ve had plenty of days where I didn’t get the ball.”

“We’re here at Fairyhouse, one of my local courses. We’ve got a lot of friends here and a lot of Meath supporters here on Meath GAA Day. It’s really important and I’m absolutely delighted about it.”

Ian Donoghue’s Vaureal justified 7-2 favoritism in the BAR 1 Betting Ladies Handicap Chase under Caragh Monaghan, while Robert Tyner and Mark Walsh teamed up to claim top honors in the BAR 1 Betting Porterstown Handicap Chase with JP McManus’ 3-1 market leader Better Times Ahead.

Willie Mullins and Paul Townend claimed the BAR 1 Casino Handicap Hurdle with Zillow (7-2 joint favourite), who wore the HOS Syndicate colors of his Breeders’ Cup Turf-winning stablemate Ethical Diamond.

On the run that the winning owners have, Mullins said: “From Del Mar to Melbourne (Absurd eighth in the Melbourne Cup) and back to Fairyhouse, it’s fantastic.

“A lot of grandkids are here today and it’s a great win. It’s what racing is all about, the social side of racing and the whole family is here.”

The Mags Mullins-trained Young Rebel finished with a wet sail to a 12-1 victory in the closing BAR 1 Casino (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race, with 7lb Anna McGuinness taking the lead.
