Manchester United striker Amad’s goal in last month’s 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest has been shortlisted for the Premier League’s Goal of the Month award.
Amad saves United against Forest
United went into the meeting with Forest with a lot of confidence, having beaten Brighton and Hove Albion a week earlier.
Ruben Amorim’s men took the lead at the City Ground through Casemiro. The Brazilian midfielder rose highest and headed in a cross from a corner.
However, Forest turned the game on its head after the restart.
Nicolò Savona took advantage of some pathetic United defending to restore parity in the 48th minute of proceedings, before Morgan Gibbs-White handed the hosts the lead just two minutes later.
United, rocked by Forest’s quick turnaround, looked completely bewildered and failed to react as defeat loomed.
However, with nine minutes of regular playing time left on the clock, Amad took it a step further. The 23-year-old brilliantly struck the ball through a sea of bodies and into the net from the edge of the area.

His fantastic goal ensured that the Red Devils received a share of the spoils.
