A confused man who had no idea why he could not urinate, was stunned behind when he realized that it was due to a worm who lived in him. The patient, 35 years old, from India, guided doctors after discovering a red worm that wriggling around, measuring a meter long.
Disgusting photos showed the parasite that was placed in a bowl after doctors had removed it from the man’s bladder. It still lived after the test. According to the medical team, the species Dioctophyma was called Renale, which is better known as a “gigantic kidneyworm”.

Experts shared that eating raw fish can cause a medical catastrophe because the animals can transport worm larvae. The man called for the first time for help after he noticed that he was suffering from fever and struggled to go a toilet in 2015.

According to a report published in the Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, the annoying parasite was 11.8 inch with a diameter of 0.13 inches (3-4 mm). Medici identified it as a male kidneyworm.
If the kind was female, it could have grown into a total of 3ft in him. The man was eventually released from the hospital after they followed his urine for three days. Fortunately, no other eggs were established.
Strangely enough, the man had known that he had previously seen worms in his urine. He was offered medical advice against raw food.
Human infection of gigantic kidneyworm, called medical dioktofymiasis, is very rare. An assessment by researchers, carried out in 2019., found only 37 human cases registered in medical literature, some are infected with no fewer than 15 worms.
The news comes a year after a patient who came to complain about a sore throat turned out to have a huge blood -sucking leech in his throat.
