Man dies after being attacked for having an affair

A 32-year-old daily wage worker, who was attacked by a group of people who objected to his alleged affair with a woman on Saturday, succumbed to his injuries at the KC General Hospital.

The deceased, Narasimharaja, is a resident of Mutyalamma Nagar.

On Tuesday, Dhanalakshmi, the deceased’s sister, alleged that her brother had been having an affair with a widow for the past two-and-a-half years, to which her family members objected.

“The woman often came home and stayed with him on the first floor of our house. On Saturday, she came and entered a room. A few minutes later, her relatives, including her father, brothers and relatives, barged into the house, dragged Narasimharaja outside and attacked him,” Dhanalakshmi alleged.

Narasimharaja’s mother, who was at home at the time of the incident, was also attacked while trying to save her son, the family said.

Narasimharaja was taken to hospital where he was declared brought dead. The family also alleged that even after the complaint was filed, the police have not arrested the suspect so far and shared CCTV footage with the media and demanded immediate action against the suspect.

Meanwhile, the police clarified that a case of suspicious death had been registered and were awaiting the post-mortem and FSL report for further action.
