A woman is said to have pushed her husband to the River Krishna during a selfie session near Gurjapur Bridge in Karnataka’s Yadgir.

The couple had put their bike on the bridge when the woman reportedly pushed her husband into the river and later the family tried to mislead that he had accidentally slipped.

Fortunately, the man managed to hold on to a rock in the flowing river and raised an alarm. The locals rushed to the place and saved him with the help of a rope.

In the video accessible by India Today TVThe locals can be seen that a rope throws at a man who was wearing a blue shirt, who desperately clung to a rock in the middle of the river. The man then swam to the bridge while holding the rope. As he reached the bridge, the locals pulled him up with the rope.

On the other hand, the woman was also stranded on the bridge in search of help. After he was saved, the man claimed that his wife had deliberately pushed him off the bridge. However, the woman has denied the charges.

In his complaint, the man claimed that his wife was stopping at the Gurjapur barrage to take pictures while brought her back from her parental home.

He said that when she asked him to stand on the edge of the bridge opposite the river for a photo, he obliged. “She trusted her, I stood opposite the water, at which point she suddenly pushed me into the pouring river in an attempt to kill me. Wagged by the current, I managed to grab a rock in the middle of the river and started screaming for help from passersby on the bridge,” he wrote in his complaint.
