The police have arrested a 19-year-old man with regard to a crash with two vehicles near Newcastle, where a woman and an unborn baby died.
The police said that on Sunday at about 2.40 a patroling officer saw a sedan, reportedly wore unauthorized number plates, driving on Newcastle Road in North Lambton.
An attempt was made to stop the vehicle, but the police claim that it continued to drive dangerous, and a decision was made not to follow safety due to concern about safety.

The police continued to follow the area before he was called to report a frontal crash between the sedan and another vehicle.
A passenger in the vehicle, a woman who was supposed to be 55, died on the spot.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 28-year-old woman, was taken to John Hunter Hospital, where she stays in a serious condition.
