It is Wednesday, which means that it is time again for the usual weekly fuel price update in Malaysia, whereby the Ministry of Finance has announced the sales prices of fuels for the coming week from 28 August to 3 September 2025.

The pump price of Ron 97 petrol, which was unchanged last week, has risen with three sen this week and is now priced at RM3.16 per liter (RM3.13 per liter last week). Of course Ron 95 petrol remains for its current ceiling price of RM2.05 per liter, as covered by the Malaysian government in February 2021.

Diesel prices have also risen this week by three Sen, which means that Euro 5 B10 and B20 blends are now priced on RM2.88 per liter (RM2.85 last week). Meanwhile, Euro 5 B7 – which is priced 20 more per liter, is therefore adhering to RM3.08 per liter. The selling price of Diesel -fuels in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan continues unchanged on RM2.15 per liter.

These fuel prices come into effect from midnight tonight to Wednesday 3 September 2025, when the next set of fuel price updates are announced. This is the 35th edition of the weekly fuel price format for this year, and the 346th in total since the format was introduced at the beginning of 2019.
