BM Foods LTD has issued an urgent recall on cooked meat cutters of chicken, which is sold at the Budget -Supermarkt Aldi
In the urgent recall, the FSA said: “The possible pieces of plastic in the products are a suffocation danger and makes them unsafe to eat.”
It only came a few days after the budget -supermarket had issued an urgent recall on inspired baby potatoes with herbs and butter with the Pack size 385G.
This was because it contained milk that was not mentioned on the label – which is a possible risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance for milk.
The watchdog for food safety told the supermarket to contact the relevant allergy organizations to inform their members.
Customers were asked in the same way to bring the product back to their nearest Aldi store to receive a full repayment.
They warned those who bought the product and have an allergy or intolerance for milk or milk components, not to eat it.
It included inspired baby potatoes with herbs and butter products with date codes up to and including 1 July 2025.
The supermarket also has issued a ‘point-of-sale reporting its customers’, in which the recall is explained and shoppers instructs about what they have to do.
“These notifications explain to customers why the product is recalled and tells them what to do if they have bought the product,” said the regulator.
Although cow’s milk allergy is less common in older children and adults, according to the NHS, this affects about one in 50 babies in the UK.
