Magomed Zaynukov is not one to forget his roots. Zajnukov is popularly known as ‘Chanco’, the name of his village in Dagestan, Russia. “Chanco” recently visited his village, where he is building a new house. Zaynukov revealed he wants to invite his entire village to a barbecue party if he wins his UFC debut.
A party for everyone
“This is the new house we built together with my brother,” Zaynukov told Red Corner MMA. “The old house fell apart, so we decided to build a new house. Now we are going to live here. We come here with our families and children and spend some time here. You should never forget your roots and where you come from. After the UFC debut – Inshallah, I hope it will be the victory for me – I would like to have all my villagers here to grill some meat and celebrate my victory.”Zajnukov (8-0) rose to fame as a teammate of Islam Makhachev and Khabib Nurmagomedov before even joining the UFC. Although most of the team consists of elite wrestlers, ‘Chanco’ is a kickboxing champion. Zaynukov earned his UFC contract last October with a win over Lucas Caldas on Dana White’s Contender Series.
