Magomed Ankalaev called Alex Pereira for their title Tilt on UFC 320.
In March, Ankalaev ‘Patan’ dismissed the undisputed light heavyweight champion and scored a unanimous decision victory on the Brazilian Knuzer. Now the Dagestani will look to prove that his victory was not a coincidence when the two were back in Las Vegas this Saturday evening.
Although things were usually quiet in the months prior to their follow-up scrap, things became more intense after a run-in at the UFC Performance Institute, where Pereira says that Ankalaev tried to ‘hide’ for him.
“You know, when I heard that that is what he said, I was confusing,” Ankalaev said MMA Fighting When he was asked about the claim of Pereira. “I was confused. Why would he even say that? If you look at the last fight, I bullyed him in the fight. I pressed him. He ran the whole fight away from me. I won the fight. I became the champion. So why would I hide from him?
“So when I saw that when I saw the explanation that that is what he said that I hid for him, I just wanted to understand what is it? Why did he say that? So I discovered how times he was there there was what time he usually said to the pi. And then he couldn’t really explain himself.
