Orlando is riding a one-game winning streak after narrowly beating the Utah Jazz 128-127 in overtime on December 20. Golden State is also coming off a one-game winning streak after defeating the Phoenix Suns 119-116 the same night.
The magic will be without protagonists Franz Wagner (left high ankle sprain) and Moritz Wagner (left knee injury recovery). Jalen Suggs is listed as questionable due to a left hip contusion, while Tristan da Silva is questionable due to a right shoulder contusion. Colin Castleton is away on a two-way assignment in the G League.
Golden State is missing Seth Curry for treatment of a left buttock injury and Al Horford with right sciatic nerve irritation. Both teams may need adjustments in rotations to compensate for these absences.
Orlando’s leading scorer, Paolo Banchero, averaged 20.9 points, 8.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game this season. Franz Wagner contributes 22.7 points and 6.1 rebounds, while Desmond Bane leads the way with 19 points and 4.5 assists. Wendell Carter Jr. adds inside presence with 12.4 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.
The Warriors rely heavily on Stephen Curry, who averages 28.8 points and 4.3 rebounds, while Jimmy Butler contributes 19.8 points and 5.6 rebounds. Draymond Green offers defensive versatility with 6 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 0.9 blocks per game. Brandin Podziemski is averaging 12.3 points and 4.5 rebounds, while Jonathan Kuminga added 11.8 points.
