The second episode of the summer walk from Bay Ridge on the 3rd brought life and energy to the southern part of the Avenue last month, while neighbors and visitors gathered for an evening of outdoor dining, sidewalk shopping and family -friendly pleasure.
With the streets closed for traffic from 68th to 82nd Street on July 25, thousands were wandering freely along the car -free corridor, enjoying the sounds of live music and enjoying the summer evening.

Local artists settled in addition to boutiques and bistros, while restaurants spread their tables to the sidewalk, which changed the typically busy passage into an even more vivid community promenade.
The event of July 25 came on the heels of this year First Summer Stroll On July 18 – one Traders of Third Avenue President James Vavas called ‘a great success’.

Friday’s walk pulled equally large crowds.
The Summer Stroll is returning today, August 1, to the upper part of 3rd Avenue, from 82nd Street to Marine Avenue, and ends on 8 August with a last walk from 68th to 82nd Street.
