Bournemouth may not be playing at the same level this time as last season, but they are eleventh in the Premier League standings and a place in the top half is still within their reach thanks to some brilliant players.
Among them were 19-year-old Eli Junior Kroupi and according to BuitenspelLiverpool are plotting a move for him during the summer transfer window as they look to boost their offensive depth for next season.
Kroupi has already scored eight times in the Premier League this season and that is also true valued at £20 million on Transfermarkt. His teammate Marcus Tavernier called him a ‘generational talent’which is a testament to its enormous potential.
It is unlikely that Kroupi will move to Liverpool so quickly
Liverpool’s interest in an Eli Junior Kroupi player comes as no surprise. In fact, he was even linked with Tottenham Hotspur before joining Bournemouth and if he were to leave the Cherries, he could perhaps sign for another mid-table side.
If he were to move to Liverpool, Kroupi risks losing consistent playing time due to stiff competition from Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike at number nine, and Florian Wirtz in the attacking midfielder role at Anfield.
At just 19 years old, the Frenchman would like to play regular football in the coming years to continue developing. So the most practical option for him would be to ply his trade at Bournemouth for at least a few more seasons.
However, his future will be worth keeping an eye on, and a few more decent top-flight seasons like his current one could see the player’s share price soar and him joining one of the Premier League or Europe’s biggest sides.
