Arne Slot’s team managed to salvage a point from a losing position for the first time in the Premier League this season in midweek, but the hope will be that they can avoid that scenario altogether at Elland Road.
The good news is that the Reds’ right-back ranks will be strengthened, as here’s who is and who isn’t available:
Bradley returned to training at the start of the week and will be available on Saturday, with Slot hinting on the eve of the match that he could replace Joe Gomez.
“I think he (Gomez) can train again today (after a blow). Yesterday was a recovery day for most of them, today we will train again and see where they stand,” Slot explained.
“But Conor Bradley has been training this week, so I expect him to train today and then be available for selection tomorrow.”
It is a boost for Slot with Frimpong is still sidelined with a hamstring injury, although he is expected to return to training next week after a 10-match absence.
Liverpool came through the midweek draw unscathed and that means Leoni, Bajcetian And Dance are still unavailable, although the latter is reportedly ahead of schedule and nearing a training return.
In terms of possible lineup changes, Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak will be among those expected to rotate out of the squad after starting the last two matches.
And if you were hoping Federico Chiesa would earn a starting spot, you’ll likely be disappointed after Slot avoided a clear response to his chances.
