The celebrations in Anfield went on for about an hour, dancing with the team on the field with their families before they have a rendition of you will never walk alone with the home fans.
But the party did not stop there – after they left the ground, they took to the streets and another location to celebrate their success.

“He earned it. I am very happy for him and everyone in and around the club that worked things like they did.
‘Everyone could see how difficult he had after the game. That tells you how difficult it is to leave such a club. That is all we can try to do, to make it so difficult for the players to leave.
‘Many of them stay. Trent made a decision to go, unfortunately for us. But it was great for him to say goodbye as he had today. ‘
