New Zealand Warriors vs Penrith Panthers
38 ‘Panthers hit the right to rest while Warrior goes down
Jenkins connects with McLean on a kick -return and they go down to the left, Penrithh will have a shot for the break.
And they make the best of it! Talagi throws a good short ball to put Sorensen in space and he goes 20 meters to score a good attempt. Ie was with an ankle injury at the time, he looks out.
Alamoti fogs with touch and it is 8-6 Panthers.
Update Injuries: Marata Niukore
The Warriors have fallen to 16 with Niukore who fails his Hia.
24 ‘Double blow for Panthers
Schneider goes straight through his own 20! Penrith immediately goes back to the attack, on the latter she goes high, it falls for Leota and he goes for the line, but I think he has stopped – yes, he has. The Warriors survive but they first hit it and the Panthers will attack again.
Schneider forces a drop -out to build some pressure, but the WAHs go short and get it back through Ford and they get a penalty.
22 ‘Warriors immediately hit back
Tuivasa-Heck beats two defenders on a kick-backing and deserves a fine to give the Warriors the opportunity to answer. They go high on the last, Halasima is trying to grab it, but it is not possible, tago can’t do that either and it falls for Ford that scores! Great pursuit of Halasima and a well-deserved attempt for Ford who is a usung hero for the Warriors.
Nice answer, Metcalf converts and it is Warriors 6-4.
17 ‘McLean sets up Jenkins to open an attempt
A penalty puts Penrith on the attack and a set of restart gives them a good look on the line. They wipe it, McLean puts a big move on Graham-Taufa and he puts Jenkins for the first attempt of the day. Nice things from McLean, he has been to everything so far.
Alamoti pulls it on the left and it is 4-0 Panthers.
13 ‘Tempers Flare in Auckland
Harris-Tavita is pinged for a challenge on Talagai while he kicked, a bit of a kink-like tack that and Penrith are on the attack.
But a mistake from McLean leaves them off the hook, ie gives him some sorrow about it and the boys run inside. No bumps, I think, but a lot of feeling … Warrior penalty at the end of it.
How: Rikia Marath
The Warriors-Pop is on its way to a Hia after a main conflict with Graham-Taufa while making a tackle.
11 ‘Sorensen almost immerses
After some nice Yardage work by the Panthers, and especially Leota, Sorensen dives on the line of the latter but is just stopped. The Warriors are full.
Update
Three very interesting match-ups today, gentlemen. I look forward to all 3, because I believe they speak every volumes with regard to the last 8 makeup at the end of the season. Meanwhile … Pan Roasted Debone Chicken served with fried garlic in cubes with a block and wilted spinach. And a glass (or more) from a very fine Langmeil Cabernet Sauvignon. You are all welcome … even those north of the border … jump on a flight to the north of Tassie and enjoy the winter solstice in style. I am. But wear a sweater!

Hell yes, Ot. Sounds like a great Saturday! Beat a few for me.

3 ‘Metcalf just lands short
Metcalf fires an attempt of 40/20 that seems to be sure to land only for Laurie to hit it back at the last minute. Great salvation, but it is difficult Yakka for Penrith from their own end.
Warriors-Panthers is underway in Auckland
And we’re leaving! Panthers kick us off and run from left to right.

Panthers without their origin stars
– MONKEY
Today’s collision between the Warriors and Panthers marks the first time that an NRL team is forced to travel to Auckland in Perth within a week after an origin race.

The previous two origin matches of Perth were held on a Sunday in 2019 and 2022, with Penrith and West’s Tigers enjoying a seven -day turning point before playing over the ditch in those cases.
But the round-16 collision of the Panthers with the third placed Warriors is less than three days after full-time in Queensland’s two-point victory in Origin II on Wednesday.
Penrith feared that their five origin representatives would have trouble making a backup in such a short window, given that they would be on an international flight of more than six hours after missing the training during the week.
Coach Ivan Cleary also had to take into account a five -day change in next week’s collision against high -flying Canterbury in Sydney.
NSW representatives Nathan Cleary, Isaah Yeo, Brian To’o, Dylan Edwards and Liam Martin all immediately flew back from Perth to Sydney and will miss the game against the Warriors.
The only representative of the Auckland Side, former Panther Kurt Capewell, is also equipped after a brilliant comeback match for Queensland.
