Granger supported Black women by emphasizing that sometimes it’s just not the right time for a particular candidate.
Lindsey Granger, co-host of The Hill’s Risinghad to teach her co-host that nothing is off the table in politics as a new poll shows Kamala Harris would demolish President Donald Trump in a 2024 election rematch.
The poll comes from the NBC News SurveyMonkey was unveiled by CNN News Central host John Berman, who said if the 2024 election were held today, former Vice President Trump would defeat by a landslide.
“Look where we are now, according to an NBC News SurveyMonkey poll: She wins it by eight points,” Berman said, according to The everyday beast.
“A huge shift from what we saw in November 2024, when Donald Trump won by one point.”
Next to him, journalist Harry Enten reported a hard truth: “Trump voters are not as supportive of Republicans as Harris voters are of Democrats.”
Granger apparently supported that story. In a healthy back-and-forth exchange, the journalist debated co-host Robby Soave’s view that “the time for Kamala Harris has come and gone” and that “voters want a new face.”
She stepped forward to remind him of a few things. “Well, Trump didn’t win in 2020 and came back with a vengeance because people thought ‘well, his old economy worked better than Biden’s current economy,’ so we’re going to bring back the old man. So you see how this works. It’s not like frustration doesn’t equal enthusiasm,” Granger said.
“So if you’re frustrated with one side, guess who wins? The other side.”
She continued to show support for Black women by emphasizing that sometimes it’s just not the right time for a particular candidate, and reminded viewers that former President Joe Biden lost the Democratic nomination twice in 1998 and 2008.
Granger’s sentiments are supported by the fact that Trump is “setting new records” for disappointing approval ratings. According to Newsweek42.4% of registered voters approve about the way Trump has handled the presidency, while 54.6% disapprove.
When he entered the Oval Office in January 2025, his approval rating was over 55% and his disapproval rating was 37%.
