Dear Mag,
What a brilliant article (Newcastle United fans who want Eddie Howe sacked should be careful what they wish for) by David Walsh on Eddie Howe.
As long-time supporters, we know the pain and suffering of some managers dumped on us because they were cheap to hire and fire.
In all honesty, some did well and some were useless.
I managed to get a ticket the week Sir Bobby Robson was sacked and we were playing Blackburn Rovers and our soon to be new manager Graham Souness.
The point I’m making is that we fired a top manager to make a few supporters happy, and we went downhill from there.

Dear Mag,
How sad that some people can enjoy other people’s misfortune with Alexander Isak.
For Lady Jane, the shoe should not be on the other foot.
As a Newcastle fan, may you enjoy many matches and may Nick Woltemade become one of the greats and may Alexander Isak always learn to remain humble, be happy at Liverpool and score many memorable goals.

Dear Mag,
I think the club is suffering at its core from the aftermath of Isak’s actions and deep down has had an influence on what is happening at the moment.
I think they need to get their heads in the right place and realize they can still win and go places without him.
Go back to what they do best and probably stop thinking about who will score the goals now.
Maybe talk heart to heart and share their thoughts.

Dear Mag,
After following Newcastle from Nova Scotia, Canada for years, this season has been discouraging so far.
After spending so much on strikers, we either have the ones who can’t play due to injury, or the big ones who don’t seem to have the expected characteristics of a ‘striker’.
Considering Joelinton was originally bought for this role and then transformed into an exciting midfielder, it’s not worth considering reinstating him as a striker…
His powerful presence, great feet, good shot, good head, speed, sharp reactions; and power, seems to suggest: why not?
Give it a try right now.
There is nothing to lose as we already have competent midfielders and Joelinton would certainly be a worrying game changer up front.
Please pass this advice on to those in power.

Dear Mag,
Burnley fan here.
There are very few social clubs left here, but Foulridge (nine miles from Turf Moor) has survived after 100 years and is even making a profit thanks to two hard-working directors who have been in charge for the past 11/12 years.
So… I managed to convince a LUFC fan group from Harrogate before our match, and given the direction of travel from Newcastle, I thought I should try again for your match.
The club could handle 50/60 away fans, and even just one minibus would be great, for the atmosphere… and bar revenue.
Anything you want to know, just ask. If you hear of a fan group coming this way on the 30th, I’d like to discuss how a visit with them might work.
Cheers

Dear Mag,
It was my birthday recently and this was definitely the icing on the cake for my birthday cake!

Dear Mag,
Hi,
I’d really like to know what the stats are for when Trippier starts a game.
It seems to me that his presence makes for a harder working and more disciplined team than when he is not there.
I love Bruno, but he shouldn’t have gotten so many yellow cards, which he seems to do when he gets frustrated.
Have these statistics been collected before?
Thank you
Amanda Carey
Dear Mag,
I’m bored of this rant about Steve Bruce.
It won’t make you feel better and won’t make a big difference.
The treatment he received from our fans and the press was not acceptable.
Unfortunately, he was not up to the task when he was manager. Move on and embrace our current situation and the great player Steve, being the great player that he was, did not have the same success as a manager.
Enjoy the present and stop being so bitter with childish comments about Amanda Staveley’s statement because if he recommended Eddie Howe we should be very grateful.
